Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my heart rate with the camera?

Tap "Measure" on the dashboard, then gently place your fingertip over the rear camera. Hold still for 15 seconds. Make sure your finger fully covers the lens and flash.

Why is my camera reading inaccurate?

Ensure you're in a well-lit room, your finger fully covers the camera, and you hold still during the measurement. Cold hands, nail polish, or excessive movement can affect accuracy.

How do I connect my Apple Watch?

PulsePoint automatically syncs with Apple Watch through HealthKit. Make sure PulsePoint has permission to read heart rate data in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

What is HRV?

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measures the variation in time between heartbeats. Higher HRV generally indicates better cardiovascular fitness and recovery. PulsePoint tracks both SDNN and RMSSD metrics.

How is my Recovery Score calculated?

Your daily recovery score (0-100) is based on resting heart rate, HRV trends, and sleep quality data from HealthKit. A higher score means your body is better recovered and ready for activity.

How do I manage my subscription?

Go to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to view, change, or cancel your PulsePoint Premium subscription.

Is my health data shared?

No. All data stays on your device and in your personal Apple Health store. PulsePoint has no servers, no analytics, and no tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
