1. Information We Do Not Collect

PulsePoint is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Heart rate measurements or readings
• Heart rate variability (HRV) data
• Recovery scores or health insights
• Camera footage or images (used only for real-time PPG processing)
• Apple Health data
• Your name, email, or contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers for tracking purposes

2. Data Stored On Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• User preferences: Display settings, language selection, heart rate zone configuration, and alert thresholds are stored via UserDefaults on your device.
• Subscription status: A cached flag indicating your subscription tier is stored locally to enable offline access to premium features.
• Measurement count: A daily counter for free-tier usage limits, stored locally and reset each day.

3. Apple Health Integration

PulsePoint reads and writes data to Apple Health with your explicit permission:

• Read: Heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, workout, and sleep data to generate trends, recovery scores, and health insights.
• Write: Heart rate measurements taken via the camera are saved to Apple Health at your discretion.

Apple Health data is governed by Apple's privacy policies and never leaves your device through PulsePoint.

4. Camera Usage

PulsePoint uses your iPhone's camera and flash to measure heart rate through photoplethysmography (PPG). Camera frames are processed in real-time on your device and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted. No images or video are captured during measurement.

5. Third-Party Services

PulsePoint uses the following third-party services:

• Adapty (adapty.io): Manages subscription status and in-app purchases. Adapty receives anonymized purchase transaction data from Apple to validate subscriptions. Adapty does not receive any health data. See Adapty's Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit: Processes in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple's secure payment infrastructure. No payment details are accessible to PulsePoint.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose. PDF health reports generated within the app are created locally and shared only if you explicitly choose to export them.

7. Children's Privacy

PulsePoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app requires access to Apple Health, which has its own age restrictions.

8. Data Retention

Since we do not collect your data, there is nothing to retain on our servers. Data stored locally on your device persists until you delete the app or clear app data. Uninstalling PulsePoint removes all locally stored preferences and cached data.

9. Your Rights

Because all data remains on your device, you maintain full control at all times. You can:

• Revoke Apple Health permissions in Settings > Health > Data Access
• Revoke camera permissions in Settings > PulsePoint
• Delete all app data by uninstalling the app

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of PulsePoint after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
